If you're mistaking the zero stars for a zero bomb when no one voted yet : then rest assured that you're not being zero bombed.

If that ISN'T a mistake and it is happening : Let it go and don't complain about it, because the more you do it the more THEY'LL do it, just because they now know they can get a reaction out of you.

Obviously, I'm not siding with them, and this isn't about who's right or wrong, it's just about how to prevent further losses.

Here’s an idea instead of making a newspost about it.

If they zero bomb you and say something stupid, warn them once. They do it again, report them.

If they aren’t saying anything then its whatever, if they have a valid reason for it and offer constructive criticism its another thing. If they are saying something stupid for the sake of being disrespectful, then at that point you can let the staff know, block, and move on.

they don't say anything when they zero bomb so i can't really report them for there actions since they never do a review with the rating and i noticed this when my track in a field of flowers got hit down from a 4.8 (11 Votes) to like a 3.9 (13 Votes)

Real talk because there have been people who told me my artwork sucks and then I laugh it off and like their remarks because at that point, they're just giving me free advertising and they aren't saying much of anything, even better if they don't because I know not everyone is going to like what I do.

It's when someone makes a baseless claim and/or harasses you about it is when you should worry.

(Edit: never mind that's just how newgrounds handles replies, heh)

OK it's not that. Think about other reasons why it's happening:

Case in point: Your most listened song has 3,532 listens and is rated 3.57 / 5.00 from 28 voters.
What this tells you is this..

1. All it takes is one voter to drastically affect a submission's score, especially when barely anyone's even heard of it. This is a known issue on the Audio Portal
2. You have no idea what the other 3,504 listeners think. For all you know, a lot of them could hate your songs and leave without voting. Or they could be your biggest fans. There's no way of knowing.

My point being, this is nothing too terrible. I've had both art + audio submissions dip below 4 stars, totally normal. Some people will legitimately vote low on content because they aren't as good as other songs on the front page, or contain noticeable flaws that need improvement, whether it's in presentation, mixing, instrumentation, or other factors.

Overall, just stop worrying so much about the scores and just focus on improving your craft. Ask for feedback if you need to.

Not a musical artist but I had the same problem on my previous account. I was harassed & people kept 0-bombing my content without even looking at it ( I guess out of jealousy because most of those users aren't artists themselves ). I was going through a lot when it happened, so it really killed my motivation, I thought that my efforts only worth a '2.20 / 5'. When I called that out in a post, people thought that it was a good idea to send me death threats & to call me a "retard" & an "attention beggar".. I lost hope into my artistic future & the toxicity of the art-side of this platform disgusted me, I sent an account deletion request & considered quitting art as whole.

The only thing I can recommend you is to not do the same mistake as me. Do not pay attention to the score on your work & do not think that it is the worth of your efforts. The score isn't faithful since the average NG user isn't an art critic & the art-side of this community is incredibly toxic & jealous. Today I'm still drawing & I'm happy with what I create, I even get commissioned occasionally. Do not let jealous scums that are too lazy to improve demotivate you. Give them a big middle finger by keeping to post your work & not giving a fuck about them. They don't deserve to be a part of your mental health.

I've faced that kind of shit, too, my man. It's a frustrating matter, but there's not a whole lot that can be done about it because people are assholes. Just gotta keep pushing on and make stuff that even the 0-bombers can't bring down.
